Easteriffic Update

Dear NAZ KIDZ families,

We love all of you and we are praying for you in this time!  We think of you often and thank God for you! We pray especially for your family that God would meet you in this time and display His love and provision in your home.  Though it’s difficult to not get to see you in person, it will make the time that we will get to see you all the more sweeter and treasured. We will continue to get creative and try to resource your families the best we can during this time, while doing that without physically seeing your fantastic selves!

We wanted to let you know that it was not an easy decision, but our church has decided to cancel our Easteriffic Drive Thru at this time.  Our team has been working on this event for months and working on creating a creative solution, but we feel that to ask you to come and receive materials from a “drive-thru” could present some issues.  We want to do our part to keep your family safe. We know there’s a possibility we could do an Easteriffic party later in the summer or “We get to see people again” party when this is all over, but until then, we thought it best that we continue to try and visit with you online.

We want to still stay connected to you the best we can!  Please check your email weekly, our church website, or NAZ KIDZ facebook page to see video from Pastor Tracy and Susan weekly.  Email is critical during this time. We will still try to ZOOM with your kids weekly and connect in different ways!

Know that you are loved and prayed for.  We love and miss our church family. We pray God uses this time to create a richness and depth in your walk with Him in the midst of the trials.  Hebrews 11:1 - “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” We pray that you are able to see new blessings in the midst of this time.

Much love and prayers to you and your family,

Know your are missed,

Pastor Tracy and NAZ KIDZ team

Services Canceled on Sunday, March 15

Earlier Thursday, Governor Mike DeWine issued an executive order that announced a three-week break for schools statewide as well as a ban on gatherings with 100 people or more due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Visitors will no longer be allowed at nursing homes across Ohio since it especially impacts our elderly. It was just a few months ago that I had never even heard of the coronavirus. Now it is impacting where we live.

Our church board met last night to talk about the impact on our church. This Sunday we are going to cancel all activities at the church including Discipleship classes, Morning Worship, and the Sunday Night Youth Event. Wednesday night activities are canceled as well. We do not want to take a chance on undermining our states effort to control a virus outbreak and infect anyone.

Our church board and staff want to do all we can to protect our people and community while pledging to pray during this time. For many of us the risk may be minimal, but for some the risk may be greater. We are not able to determine which list each may be on. So we thought it would be best to serve everyone and try to offer an alternative to our services on Sunday.

We are going to do a facebook live broadcast on Sunday at 10:45am. It will not include our worship songs but we recommend worshipping together as a family and be creative in your worship as we collectively lift our voices to God in prayer and music. Some may not sing as well as others but you can play some worshipful music a little louder to aid the ears of those present.

During this time, we ask you to help stop the potential spread of the virus in the following ways:

     1.  Stay home if you feel that you are sick
     2.  Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds before eating and after blowing your
     nose, coughing,  or sneezing.
     3.  Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your arm. Avoid coughing in your hand.

We are not reacting out of fear to the threat of the coronavirus, we are just simply taking the lead of our State authorities and proceeding with caution. We can take this opportunity to remember those who are personally impacted by the virus all around the world. Each week our church board has committed to meet on Thursday to discuss the following week’s activities. We will be diligent in posting any updates concerning our services. Please be in prayer for our church as we continue to go forth in unity.

“ For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7.

We look forward to our time on Sunday at 10:45am. Join us as we come together in a different format. We will be the same church, just in a different venue. You can catch us on our Facebook page or go to our website.

Joy in Jesus!

Pastor Mike
