Our Story

Findlay First Church of the Nazarene began as a very small congregation in December 1939. This group of believers met in a small building on Crystal Avenue near Blanchard Ave. Years later, they constructed a larger facility next door. This second building is now the home of Bishop Kandell Realty.

In 1981, First Naz moved to the present location on Broad Avenue. This new facility provided  much needed space for worship, classrooms, and offices, as well as visibility from  the I-75 interstate highway.

In 1998, the Naz constructed the Family Life Center and again doubled the building size. This addition included several new classrooms, kitchen, and a full-sized gymnasium and stage. The facility soon became a place for local election polls and other events such as Upward Basketball games, the semi-annual Twice-Blessed Sale, and more.

In late 2015,  major renovations were made in the sanctuary, classrooms, foyer & children's check-in area.

Today, we are a growing congregation with an average weekly attendance of 375 people, and plenty of young families. We invite you to join with us and be a part of our story!
