mike mcclurg

Senior pastor

Mike joined us as senior pastor in July, 2001. He has twice graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a degree in pastoral ministry and a master's degree in practical theology. He also graduated from the School of Large Church Management in 2003. He and his wife Vickie have two children: Cammi and Cody. Mike enjoys hanging out with his family and friends in his log cabin-like basement, traveling to Tennessee, and playing racquetball.

What is your favorite sports team?

Ohio State Buckeyes or Cincinnati Bengals


What is your favorite snack food?

Peanut M&M's, at least at this writing. It changes with the seasons.


What is your favorite month of the year? Why?

October because I like the fall color changes.


What is your favorite room/spot in your house?

My basement. I like sitting by the fire with my family on cold winter days.


What is your favorite destination in Findlay?

Anywhere there is Ice Cream!

Have I mentioned Ice Cream?


Who is your favorite deceased American leader? Why?

It's a toss up between Abraham Lincoln and Spiderman. Both willing to do the right thing no matter the cost.


Who is your favorite Bible character? Why?

Paul. He wrote so many books and was totally sold out to the Gospel of Jesus.


What is your favorite Bible verse(s)?

Philippians 4:13 - For I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.


What three things would you take to heaven if you could?

People who resist salvation, an atheist, and all the self centered (It would be fun to watch them squirm or cave in).

Nate Stults

Associate Pastor of connections

Pastor Nate joined our staff in September, 2012 to assist with a variety of growing ministries in the church such as first impressions, next steps, web and social media, small groups, etc. He is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary with degrees in youth ministry and Christian education, respectively. He and his wife Tracy have four children: Alauna, Avery, Addison and Alexander. Nate enjoys camping, going to concerts, watching sports, disc golfing, and reading non-fiction.

What is your favorite sports team?

Without question, Notre Dame football.


What is your favorite snack food?

Chex Mix with a lot of nuts.


What is your favorite month of the year? Why?

August because my wife and I have birthdays and our anniversary.


What is your favorite room/spot in your house?

The bedroom/exercise room.


What is your favorite destination in Findlay?

Downtown is a cool place to eat, shop or meet people.


What is your favorite destination in Ohio?

I would really like to visit Cedar Point. I haven't been there since I was a child. Hocking Hills State Park  is amazing though!


Who is your favorite deceased American leader? Why?

Ronald Reagan because he stood against communism and respected all people equally.


Who is your favorite Bible character? Why?

Elisha the prophet because he did a lot of amazing miracles.


What is your favorite Bible verse(s)?

Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.


What three things would you take to heaven if you could?

My iPhone, digital photo collection, something I'm studying. Whatever God has in store for his adopted family will be glorious! 

Jessica Myers

Youth Pastor & Media Ministries

Jessica joined our staff in October, 2011. She is a graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a degree in youth ministry. Jessica enjoys watching Steelers football, scrapbooking, playing guitar, and hanging out with friends and her husband Sean. More recently, they have become foster parents.

Tracy Stults

Director of Children's ministries &

upward sports leagues

Tracy joined our staff in September of 2013. On most Sundays you can find her leading our children's worship program in the "Power Plant." She has over 10 years experience in the public schools as a teacher and various other roles both large and small. Plus, Tracy has over 15 years experience as a weekly volunteer in her local church serving in children's, youth and/or adults ministries. She is married to Pastor Nate, a mother of four children, and she loves attending camps and fun activities of all kinds.

August, it's summer and warm. I love summer.

Bread Kneads to get chicken salad on croissant, yum

Hocking Hills was pretty amazing! I also love the Toledo Zoo and imagination Station

Abraham Lincoln- he grew up in Illinois where i grew up, i love that he abolished slavery

Joshua. He was faithful and a great leader.

Exodus 14:14, Jeremiah 29:11, Joshua 4:21-22, Psalm 63

Susan Beggs

director of pre-school ministries

(infant Through KINDERGARTEN)


Pastor Susan joined our staff in July, 2012. She is a graduate of Fort Wayne Bible College with a degree in elementary education and has over 20 years of ministry experience including over 8 years as a school teacher. She and her husband Dwayne have two children: Brent and Brigette. Susan enjoys scrapbooking, puppetry, backpacking, and American history. One day, she might even retire near the famous Civil War sites of Gettysburg, PA.

What is your favorite sports team?

I don't get into sports...but I do sympathetically cheer on my husband's team, the Bengals. They need all the help they can get! 

 

What is your favorite snack food?

Chocolate covered nuts or potato chips and dip!


What is your favorite month of the year? Why?

May. Because it is finally spring and everything is getting green and colorful outside!


What is your favorite room/spot in your house?

Our living room. Our new couch is so comfy.


What is your favorite destination in Findlay?

It's not right in Findlay, but I enjoy hiking nearby at Van Buren State Park...especially when there are no bugs!


What is your favorite destination in Ohio?

I love going to see the Tecumseh Outdoor drama at the Sugarloaf Mountain Amphitheater in Chillicothe, OH.


Who is your favorite deceased American leader? Why?

Chief Little Turtle of the Ft. Wayne, IN area. I admire how the Native Americans respected nature and were able to live in harmony with it for so many years. Little Turtle was a wise and trustworthy leader of the Miami tribe.


Who is your favorite Bible character? Why?

Deborah the prophetess. It is neat to see that God used/uses women to be His mouthpiece too!


What is your favorite Bible verse(s)?

Isaiah 41:10 - Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 


What three things would you take to heaven if you could?

A camera, an empty scrapbook and my scrapping supplies to fill with pictures of Heaven and its residents!

Amy Mead

Director of worship arts

Amy has served at our church in many roles over the past several years, most including ministries to children and in music. In June, 2012 she was officially hired as our Director of Worship Arts. Amy is a graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute with a degree in biblical studies and Liberty University with a degree in psychology and family counseling, has studied worship arts through Trevecca Nazarene University. She and her husband Bill have three children: Katie, Karissa and Ryan, plus one dog, Casper. Amy enjoys scrapbooking, camping, music, and image consulting.

Ronglan Huang

Pastor of INTER-GENERATIONAL & International ministries

Ronglan joined the staff in June of 2013. She began her career as a practicing lawyer in her home country of China, but she was eventually called to multi-cultural and senior ministries. Before moving to Ohio to begin her doctor of ministry studies at Winebrenner Theological Seminary she had lived and studied in Kenya and the Philippines. She is married to Yi Rao, and they have two daughters, Yana and Ivy. Her favorite pass-time is reading.

July, it is the class time. I love to sit in class.

Abraham Lincoln. Because he did not fear of the difficulties and confuse of the success.

Joshua。He fulfilled his taskes and carried on Moses' mission.

1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.


What three things would you take to heaven if you could? 

A pen with unlimited ink and a notebook with unlimited pages, I am good with just these two things. People who need extra credit could let me know, I can help them by bringing one more thing.
